A group of club members organised a 18-day trip to Kenya and Tanzania to see Rotary projects first-hand, in January 2010. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the School of St Jude in Arusha, Tanzania, founded by Australian Gemma Sisia, and now home to about 2000 students. http://www.schoolofstjude.co.tz/
We visited Rotary projects around Nairobi and visited with Rotarians in each location, attending three clubs for thie regular meeting.
The group consisted of David Dean, Margaret Dean, Monica Saville, Geoff Saville and Dee Stewart was led by Surya Patel, who is also an expert travel agent,and was born in Kenya.
