The December 2008 Concert
In December 2008 we held a popular classical music night, performed by the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra. I am sure you will all recognise the music listed below. Each year we showcase a soloist. Last year we were thrilled to have violin soloist Xenia Deviatkina-Loh who performed Sarasate Ziegeunerweisen and the Vivaldi Winter Concerto from the Four Seasons. Our conductor for the performance was world famous George Ellis.
George works primarily as a Conductor and Musical Director. In 2000, he conducted the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Millennium Choir in front of 110, 000 people and a live viewing audience of 3.8 billion people at the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games. He also conducted at the closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games.
