Many ladies came away with Henna (Mehndi, pronounced meh-hend-dee) on their hands as well as the Bindi on the forehead, everyone was dressed for the occasion from Maharaja's to Maharani's to colonial bureaucrats, sergeant majors from the English army to nehrus. Everyone looked fabulous.
The night was a success because everyone came to have Fun and the dancing went on to late.
Every event needs people to assist on the night, and our thanks go to St Ives Rotaract Club for their support with raffle ticket selling, promoting purple pinkies and making sure everyone got their sumptuous Indian meal.
