Rotary Youth Leadership Award 
The Rotary Youth Leadership Award is a challenging 5 day training program which provides an opportunity for young people to develop their leadership skills whilst promoting self confidence. The course is run by business professionals, both Rotarians and Rylarians who have gained experience by themselves attending this course.
Rotary is seeking young people between the ages of 18 to 26 years who have the talent, energy and motivation to discover their leadership potential to attend this program.
Whether you are a young professional, enthusiastic worker, self employed,or a tertiary student, RYLA provides a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, be confident and have fun whilst making new friends. Those who complete a RYLA program are often better able to successfully manage their own lives, careers and make a mark on society. Take the RYLA challenge and uncover your true potential!

Each January in District 9680, a course is held at Vision Valley in Arcadia for young adults. This year the course runs from 10-16 January 2009
Cost is approximately $700 Fill in an application form send it to your local Rotary club. Cost will be met by the sponsoring Rotary club upon receiving an application form and if selected to attend after a brief interview.
St Ives Rotary Club hosted this event in 2009.
All Rotary Clubs are encouraged to send along young men and women who they think will gain personally and professionally, from attending this leadership course.

Four years ago St Ives Rotary Club sent along a young Jeremy Charles. Jeremy's life changed from going on the course and he is now heading up Rotaract with several new clubs in the making. Well done Jeremy.
