Rotaract
Rotaract is an empowered group of young leaders who make a difference to their community through service. Rotaract clubs conduct international humanitarian projects, service projects in the local community, fundraising events and networking events.
Initiated by Rotary International in 1968, Rotaract has grown to become one of the largest youth organizations in the world with a network of over 160,000 members in 8,000 clubs in over 155 countries. Each club is autonomous and conducts its own projects based on the interests, skills and expertise its members. Clubs frequently pool resources to conduct larger scale projects and events in order to deliver greater benefit to the community.
If you would like to be part of a motivated team of volunteers who make a tangible difference to the community, develop and broaden your skills and experience, network with current and future business and professional leaders and surround yourself with other passionate young leaders in the community, then Rotaract is a world of opportunity for you.
There are clubs at Hornsby, Castle Hill and Crosslands. Our district is planning new Rotaract clubs for Macquarie University, Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and the Central Coast, with the Macquarie Uni club starting in March '08.
