Rotary District 9680 in New South Wales is the premier District of Sydney, Australia.

Its boundaries stretch from the southern shores of Sydney Harbour, west to the Parramatta River and Kellyville, reaching across the Hawkesbury River and north to Toukley on the Central Coast.
Within its boundaries are the business districts of North Sydney, Chatswood, Gosford and the Ryde industrial area. Beautiful beaches define its eastern border, whilst rural communities make up its western and northern borders.
Whilst compact in size by Australian standards the District contains 67 Rotary Clubs and approximately 2,000 Rotarians.

Each year there is a changeover of District Governor.
The District Governor for 2009-2010 is John Cameron from the Rotary club of Wahroonga.

John was inducted into the Wahroonga club in 1986. John has served as Community Director, Programme Director, Youth Service Director, Club Service Director, Social Director and President. John has also led a Group Study Exchange Team to Sweden and Russia in 2006.

John Kenny the incoming Rotary International President for 2009-2010

John is a past dean of his local law faculty, a judge, and a notary. He is active in the Scout Movement and earned the Scouting Medal of Merit for helping to form new scout groups in Eastern Europe. Kenny was appointed deputy lieutenant of his district by Queen Elizabeth II.
A Rotarian since 1970, John has been president and vice president of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland. He has served RI as director, executive committee chair, Rotary Foundation trustee, institute moderator, district governor, convention vice chair and group leader, president’s representative, and committee member and chair.
