St. Ives Rotaract is currently seeking new members. Rotaract is an international organisation for young people aged 18-30 creating a positive change in their local communities and around the world. Rotaract is a non-profit, non-political, international voluntary network of 163,000 students and young professionals, that span 163 countries worldwide. We are motivated, energised young people who use our skills to make tangible differences for those in need while advancing our careers and networking with other like-minded young leaders.

ST IVES HOST THE NEW GENERATION EXCHANGE TEAM- October 2008
During October 2008, St Ives Rotaract hosted the New Generation Exchange Team from Switzerland. The New Generation Exchange program is a vocational and cultural experience offered to young people between the ages of 18 and 25 to experience a wide range of career-focused opportunities. I had the pleasure of looking after the team in their last week by having more of a social experience with them including a swim at Manly Beach, Blue Mountains Trip and a massive tour of Sydney city including a tour of every back street, side street and one way street that the city has to offer. The team also attended a few Rotary meetings and met with some Rotaractors from Chatswood Rotaract all this culminating in a farewell on the Thursday night at the world famous Opera Bar. Evan also home hosted Rahel one of the team members and she expressed her sincere thanks to Rotary and Rotaract on putting together a wonderful program.
